N-TEC gets distribution for QSAN disk storage products

Storage producer N-TEC GmbH, based in Ismaning near Munich, is to take over the distribution of QSAN Technologies storage solutions effective immediately. QSAN products are used particularly in the IP (iSCSI) and FC SAN environment, and are geared toward use in the worldwide SMB market. Customers can select products with up to 60 HDD bays and with single or redundant controllers. Since QSAN systems can be equipped with various storage media, they offer excellent scalability, making them an outstanding investment. Both 2.5" and 3.5" HDD and SSD drives with an SAS or SATA interface can be used.

By making this move, storage producer N-TEC is enlarging its range of products made in-house by adding the high-quality storage and NAS solutions from QSAN Technologies. QSAN's innovative storage solutions have garnered many awards and are available with 8, 12, 16, 24 or 60 hard drive bays. QSAN AegisSAN LX SAN solutions are optionally equipped with 1 GbE, 10 GbE or 8 GB Fibre Channel ports. They are available either with a single storage controller, to which a second controller can be added to form a redundant active/active storage solution, or with redundant controllers directly.

NAS solutions from the QSAN TrioNAS LX family are distinguished by their extensive software functionality. The unified storage systems are shipped with snapshot, volume cloning, remote replication, thin provisioning, deduplication, Amazon S3 cloud backup and many other useful features, all without any extra charge. They offer support for CIFS/SMB 2.2, NFS v3/v4, AFP and FTP clients. For higher availability and system stability, these systems can also be equipped with a second, redundant controller.

"We are pleased that we are now able to further develop our highly successful, longstanding partnership with QSAN. We have been using these extremely reliable RAID controllers with great success for over eight years, and we are now expanding our own ICEBOX-R product family, which has won many awards, in both the upper and lower segments. Ultimately, the customer benefits from the quality of the products and our experience. Our customers' satisfaction is our top objective in terms of quality. And, of course, the price has to be in line with the market," says Sven Meyerhofer, Managing Director of N-TEC, adding, "That's something we can guarantee with QSAN products."

An introductory offer for the products is scheduled to run until January 31, 2014: any customer who purchases an AegisSAN LX or AegisNAS LX system with redundant controllers will receive an iPad as a web administration tool.
