Softcat climbs the ranks with Check Point Software Technologies Platinum accreditation

Softcat has reached the top level of the Check Point Software Technologies’ partner hierarchy with the highest possible accreditation. The network and data security solution provider awarded Softcat the accreditation this week following its concerted two-year investment in resource and training. The Platinum accreditation follows a year that has seen Softcat grow Check Point business by 301%.

The accreditation process is lengthy and intense, as a result of which there are currently only five platinum accredited partners in the UK including Softcat. The Platinum accreditation is reserved to recognise partners who show expertise across Check Point’s complete portfolio of best in class security products. Softcat employees undertook months of onsite training sessions to bring their Check Point expertise up to the required levels.
Softcat network and security specialist Paul Solomon said, “Four years after securing the Gold accreditation, and, thanks to our 60-strong team of Check Point sales and support specialists, we’ve reached the next, and highest, level. We’re delighted that Check Point has recognised our commitment, business results and software expertise with this accreditation. Now we can prove to customers that we are one of the UK’s top five accredited Check Point resellers, which gives them that much more confidence when purchasing from us.”

He added, “Our partnership with Check Point is stronger than it has ever been, and we’re constantly broadening its reach into the relevant markets. Its security products are perfect for those customers seeking the latest security solutions, and as a top-tier partner, we hope we’ll be first choice for customers.”

Michael Wakefield, Check Point’s head of channel sales, UK and Ireland, said, “Platinum is the highest accreditation we offer our partners, and Softcat, a long-standing partner, has consistently demonstrated the required levels of expertise to qualify. We look forward to growing our business with Softcat further. We are committed to a continued close relationship with our partners and to reward those that commit to Check Point.”
