AECOM strengthens its industrial team

AECOM is pleased to announce the appointment of Giles Scott as Director of Development Management, further strengthening its data centre offering.

Giles joins AECOM from Global Switch where he was Europe Property Development Manager with responsibility for expanding Global Switch’s European real estate platform. His appointment bolsters both AECOM’s development management business and its unique integrated services offer to data centre clients in the Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA).

In his role as head of development management, Giles will be responsible for providing AECOM’s data centre, industrial and real estate clients with strategic property advice and identifying and progressing new development opportunities.

A Chartered Surveyor with over 20 years’ experience in the property industry across EMEA, Giles brings a wealth of experience, which spans the full range of property asset classes, from corporate real estate occupier advice to development and transaction management. Giles has a particularly strong background in industrial property and has undertaken data centre development projects in Italy, Russia, UK, Netherlands, Germany and France.

Prior to Global Switch, Giles was Head of Development Management, Europe, at EC Harris, where his projects included advising Primark on its logistics warehousing solution for Europe. Giles was also a Managing Director at Helios Properties and National Head of Industrial Real Estate for Chesterton Real Estate, during which time he was involved in the acquisition and disposal of all types of industrial property throughout the UK.
