WHIPTAIL expands Channel distribution

WHIPTAIL has announced a global distribution relationship with Ingram Micro Inc., the world's largest wholesale technology distributor and a global leader in IT supply-chain, mobile device lifecycle services and logistics solutions. The deal marks further expansion of WHIPTAIL’s channel distribution globally, specifically in the European market, which continues to be a key area in 2013 and beyond.

“Ingram Micro’s deep and broad relationships with its network of VARs will be vital to WHIPTAIL’s continued expansion globally,” said Erik Hardy, executive vice president of worldwide sales at WHIPTAIL. “Performance-intensive, mission-critical environments require resilience and accelerated performance and only flash storage can dramatically boost business performance while cutting the cost of their business operations.”


Ingram Micro will bring WHIPTAIL’s entire product line of silicon flash storage arrays and RACERUNNER operating system’s to its value added resellers (VARs) globally:


· ACCELA: A 2U, energy efficient NAND flash silicon storage array providing up to 12TB capacity while delivering 250,000 IOPS and 2GB/s throughput, which dramatically improves application response time
· INVICTA: The ?rst truly enterprise-class, scalable silicon storage array. INVICTA delivers a next-generation modular NAND Flash storage array that provides highly scalable IOPS and system throughput alongside ultra-low latency
· INVICTA INFINITY: The INVICTA INFINITY architecture allows customers to accelerate hundreds of application workloads by scaling up to 30 silicon storage nodes increasing capacity to 360 TB and up to 6 silicon storage routers to take throughput beyond 40GB/s and IOPS (writes and reads per second) above 4 million


Utilizing Ingram Micro’s vast experience and extensive network of VARs, the agreement furthers WHIPTAIL's strategy of providing enterprises with the fastest silicon storage solutions. The goal is for VARs to build compelling solutions utilizing WHIPTAIL’s flash storage technology and accelerate application performance. From this integration, customers of all sizes will receive faster analytics, batch processing and VDI deployments all while consolidating database and storage footprints.
