The Violin Maestro suite of Memory Services runs on memory-optimized, hardware-accelerated Violin Memory Appliances to transparently integrate into customers' existing data center environments. Maestro software on the Memory Appliance provides non-disruptive migration of data off legacy storage to high performance Violin Memory Arrays. Combined with the Violin Memory Operating System (vMOS) and Violin Symphony management software, Violin Maestro revitalizes existing IT infrastructure to be more agile and responsive to business needs.
"Deploying the Violin Memory Appliance was a breeze. Installation was quick, non-disruptive and required no changes to our applications, servers or storage," said Jeffrey B. Dalton, CISSP Technical Operations Officer at TransCentra, Inc. "We had to do no tuning or re-configuration. The Memory Appliance software transparently learns our application I/O patterns and accelerates performance. Our server CPU utilization went from more than 90 percent to 45 percent, which is like getting an additional SUN server with Oracle licensing included for free. The performance gains and cost savings are incredible."
