GlassHouse Technologies appoints Steve Sharp as CEO

GlassHouse Technologies hasannounced that Steve Sharp has been appointed CEO. Sharp is focusing the company’s growth strategy around the convergence of data centre and cloud services. He succeeds Patrick Scannell Jr., who has led the company as CEO since 2011.

“As enterprises drive toward services-enabled data centres to deliver more business value while managing costs and risks, CIOs are facing increasing complexity. This challenge is compounded by the rise in cloud computing, which is reshaping how services are offered, escalating data security threats and increasing compliance regulations,” said Steve Sharp, CEO, GlassHouse Technologies.

“Enterprises need objective guidance to deliver enhanced services, mitigate risk and control costs in the face of this complexity. GlassHouse’s objective expertise in data centre and cloud services provides tremendous value to our clients, helping them to deliver pragmatic plans with measurable returns.”

Steve brings deep leadership and operational expertise to GlassHouse, as well as extensive experience driving enterprise services and software growth. Steve has a proven track record of executive success, including having served as CEO of PowerSteering Software, where he established the company as a leader in the cloud-based project and portfolio management market. Previously, Steve also held CEO positions at Frictionless Commerce and Context Integration.
