OnBase 13 Debuts

Hyland Software releases its latest OnBase update; enhancements to enterprise content management product help propel technology trends.

Hyland Software has announced the latest release of its enterprise content management (ECM) solution, OnBase 13. Each annual release of the OnBase product demonstrates Hyland’s commitment to the ongoing development of its core ECM solution and ensures OnBase remains both relevant to and enhances IT trends affecting businesses today.

“At Hyland Software, innovation goes beyond just thinking about our technology’s potential. We work with our customers to execute on the ideas that will help them run more efficiently and effectively,” said Glenn Gibson, Hyland’s product marketing manager. “Our annual software release ensures our users have the most up-to-date capabilities and integrations to remain one step ahead of the competition with our proven, viable solution.”

As experts in cloud-based ECM, and the first ECM vendor to go to market with a robust mobile ECM solution, Hyland understands the impact that having the right information at the right time has on business processes. “Providing instant access to your critical data and documents from anywhere should be a key feature of your organisation’s content management strategy, and the enhancements in OnBase 13 make it easier than ever before,” Gibson said.

OnBase 13 incorporates more than 2,500 enhancements, allowing organisations to take greater advantage of the latest technology trends impacting their business, including mobility, cloud and data analytics. With OnBase 13, organisations can extend the value of their business and process management strategies, opening new and exciting possibilities by leveraging these three IT trends.

OnBase Mobile
Hyland expands its support for mobile devices, including iPhone, iPad, Android and Windows Phone 8 platforms, allowing organisations to extend business processes outside their brick-and-mortar walls to their mobile workers. The latest release also brings offline access to ECM. Using Windows laptops and tablets, field and case workers can take all the information they need with them, allowing them to work while completely disconnected from the network, with all changes automatically synchronised once reconnected.

Cloud-based ECM
Hyland Software continues to blaze the trail for cloud ECM. Building on its more than 10 years of experience with cloud-based ECM, OnBase 13’s entire spectrum of ECM capabilities and functionality is available in Hyland’s cloud and on-premises deployments. The OnBase Cloud is purpose-built for ECM and is managed and maintained by OnBase and cloud experts, giving organisations full functionality without capital expenditure from subscription-based licensing models.

Big results from data
OnBase 13 brings forth a significant addition of collaborative capabilities within the OnBase product suite, providing functionality far beyond “transactional” content management. With OnBase Case Manager, organisations can manage every piece of data tied to a specific process more efficiently. Having greater control around the tasks, activities, reminders and big data surrounding a process, provides a 360-degree insight into each transaction and helps you better manage every aspect of that process, better.

OnBase 13 provides efficient scalability, by supporting the latest hardware and software architectures, handling more data and users with fewer servers. OnBase can now contain up to 1 quadrillion documents in a single system by utilising a 64-bit database. Support of 64-bit operating systems allows your organisation to leverage the most efficient use of hardware possible and integrate with the latest 64-bit applications. Knowing your ECM solution supports the latest operating systems gives you peace of mind that it will continue to provide value well into the future.

“OnBase 13 is more than just our next software release. It’s how your organisation achieves its efficiency goals,” Gibson said. For more information about Hyland’s latest software release, visit Hyland.com/OnBase 13.
