Huawei adds new member to S2700 family

Huawei has announced the global availability of its next-generation intelligent access switches S2750-EI series. Consisting of four models, S2750-20TP-PWR-EI-AC, S2750-28TP-EI-AC, S2750-28TP-PWR-EI-AC, and S2751-28TP-PWR-EI-AC, the S2750-EI series is able to help small- and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) around the world build reliable, simplified, and future-proof IT networks.

The newly launched S2750-EI series offers high-performance switches with 100 Megabytes (100M) access capacity designed for the 2nd layer of enterprise campus networks. Built on Huawei’s cutting-edge switching technologies and its Versatile Routing Platform (VRP) software platform, the S2750-EI switches fully support a unique function called Easy Operation which provides users with enhanced convenience in network planning, deployment, operation & maintenance (O&M) and monitoring. The S2750-EI also supports intelligent stacking (iStack), which can virtualize multiple switches into one logical switch, significantly simplifying system management and configuration while ensuring improved reliability and scalability. All the S2750-EI switches, except for the S2750-28TP-EI-AC model, support the Power over Ethernet (PoE) function, effectively reducing energy consumption.

The introduction of the S2750-EI further enhanced Huawei’s S2700 switch product family, which contains multiple series of next-generation 100M Ethernet access switches, including the S2700, S2710, S2750, and S2751. Embedded with Huawei’s latest innovations, the S2700 switch products offer a series of industry-leading features, including high reliability, easy O&M, flexible network deployment, as well as a wide array of quality of service (QoS) functions and security control policies, helping SMEs optimize IT networks in a cost-effective and environmentally friendly manner.

An important market player in the enterprise switch space, Huawei has provided the market with many different models of 100M access switches. These switches offer a suite of optional PoE port combinations, meeting each user’s unique demands. Powered devices (PDs) such as IP phones, WLAN access points (APs) and Bluetooth APs can be connected to the S2750-20TP-PWR-EI-AC, S2750-28TP-PWR-EI-AC, and S2751-28TP-PWR-EI-AC through network cables. While in full compliance with IEEE 802.3af and 802.3at (PoE+), these three models of the S2750-EI can accommodate PDs that are incompatible with 802.3af or 802.3at. PoE ports on these three models also work in power-saving mode. The adoption of PoE intelligent power application allows for easier and more flexible deployment of power infrastructure, helping enterprises construct green and efficient networks.

Moving forward, delivering on its commitment to providing advanced ICT solutions to global enterprises, Huawei will continue to develop and offer more innovative switching products to the market, helping enterprises build highly efficient and smart campus networks.
