esure deploys Cordys for organisation-wide claims management

Process excellence improves customer service, tackles fraud and reduces costs.

esure has successfully deployed the Cordys Business Operations Platform. With Cordys, esure has improved its claims handling procedures and cost control of third party claims.

esure deployed the Cordys Business Operations Platform to improve its business operations through SOA-based integration, process automation and case management. esure grew its customer base to over one million in force policies in five years and, as a result of this rapid growth, processes like claims processing became more and more important. esure has used Cordys to enhance the current procedures and obtain better information to support the negotiation of claims with third parties. Cordys has integrated the existing policy, product and payment systems and introduced a new fully automated interface with the Ministry of Justice (MOJ) for handling Third Party Injury Claims. Cordys now enables the work queues to be monitored using real time dashboards.

Sue Inglis, Head of Claims at esure, commented: “Cordys delivers a high degree of automation combined with the flexibility needed to manage the dynamic nature of Third Party insurance claims. For example, case management allows us to carry out investigations, assign work to the right people and prevent fraud. The MOJ interface gives us real time information, quicker response times, enhanced MI and the elimination of manual logging of claims.”

Lyndon Exton, Architecture and Technology Manager at esure said “Cordys is a key technology for esure for managing business processes and integration. The flexibility it offers enables us to integrate our existing systems and automate external data feeds like the MOJ application to application interface.”

“Cordys offers a portfolio of proven capabilities for the optimisation of insurance processes”, added John Phillips VP EMEA Field Operations at Cordys. “Our solutions help insurance organisations process claims quickly and accurately, increase customer satisfaction and improve financial performance.”
