Huawei unveils the Big Data Storage System OceanStor N9000. Based on the innovative concept of “X-in-One”, Huawei OceanStor N9000 converges storage, analysis, and archive, and especially adopts new generation of Scale-out architecture to realize a lifecycle management, and help customers address Big Data challenges confidently.
As the widely application of Internet of Things, social networks, and Bring Your Own Device (BYOD), data grows explosively, which not only challenges better performance and capacity for storage system, but also requires storage system with high speed data research and analysis capability to gain more valuable information. At the same time, hot data archiving needs more simple and cost efficient storage solution.
Huawei OceanStor N9000 is the first storage system to converge storage, analysis, and archive, which avoids the data loading, transfer among devices, and realizes an entire lifecycle "X-in-one" management. Huawei OceanStor N9000 adopts Scale-out clustered architecture, which supports elastic expansion from 3 nodes to 288 nodes, and the capacity of a single file system can be extended to 40PB without interruption. As an industry leading next-generation storage solution, Huawei OceanStor N9000 with its 5,000,000 OPS cutting-edge performance and over 170GB total bandwidth, readily meets the requirements for high performance computing(HPC), genetic research , media edition, satellite mapping, centralized storage of data center, internet operations and so on Big Data application.
