Zycko awarded Riverbed Authorized Support Program status for Riverbed Cascade

Zycko says that its status under the Riverbed® Authorized Support Partner (RASP) programme will now also include the performance management specialists’ Cascade® solution.

As a member of the programme, Zycko leverages its support organisation to deliver a suite of Zycko-branded support offerings to its reseller partners. The RASP programme allows Zycko to build closer relationships with clients, and provide high-value services and support that its clients can leverage to get the full benefit of their Riverbed performance solutions.

Zycko has been a distributor of Riverbed Technology solutions since 2005 and was recognised as Riverbed EMEA Distributor Partner of the Year in 2013. It has been RASP certified for WAN Optimisation (RASP-W) since November 2010 and the extension of this status to Riverbed Cascade (RASP-N) is further evidence of its dedication to taking the Riverbed product suite to the EMEA market. Zycko supports the full range of Riverbed performance management solutions and is able to showcase their benefits through its Riverbed Performance Lab, the only such facility in the EMEA region. The lab provides a networking environment from which to demonstrate the full capability of the Riverbed portfolio including WAN optimisation, performance management, storage delivery, application delivery, and cloud storage. Along with the RASP-W and RASP-N accreditations, Zycko is also a Riverbed Authorised Consulting Partner (RACP), Riverbed Authorised Training Partner (RATP) and Riverbed Advanced Access Partner (RAAP).

More than 22,000 organisations worldwide depend on Riverbed to understand, optimise and consolidate their IT infrastructure, through solutions that overcome performance issues caused by distance, distributed computing, and ever increasing amounts of data. As IT organisations embark on strategic initiatives to virtualise, consolidate and migrate workloads into cloud environments, users are moved farther from their data. Slow applications, slow file transfers and inefficient websites can negatively impact the performance and success of these initiatives. Riverbed transforms IT performance by providing solutions spanning WAN optimisation, storage delivery, application delivery controllers, web content optimisation (WCO), and cloud data protection. By providing the broadest portfolio of performance solutions that deliver anywhere, any-application optimisation, Riverbed enables organisations to increase productivity and efficiency, while enhancing business resilience and controlling costs.

To enable its distribution partners to act as an extension of the Riverbed support organisation, Riverbed introduced RASP, a specialisation programme that allows eligible partners to provide Level 1 and Level 2 support services to their clients. The RASP programme is only available to partners that demonstrate a successful track record selling Riverbed solutions and are able and willing to provide a high standard of 24x7 Level 1 and Level 2 operational support services.

Zycko’s CEO, David Galton Fenzi said: “Extending its RASP accreditation to cover Cascade affirms and enhances Zycko’s status as one of the most qualified, experienced and extensively resourced Riverbed distributors in EMEA. Zycko is proud to offer innovative solutions and high quality support to provide real value to the channel.”

“The partner network program is structured so that everyone wins – our partners, customers, and Riverbed. Through the RASP specialisation program, not only do our partners benefit from being positioned to increase their bottom line, but our customers are working with the industry’s most qualified Riverbed partners to support their IT infrastructure,” said Scott Downie, senior vice president of worldwide support at Riverbed. “As we scale our support organisation to include services from our valued partners, it allows Riverbed to focus on our core competencies – providing enterprises with award-winning performance solutions that enable them to accomplish strategic IT initiatives, including IT consolidation, cloud computing, and virtualisation.”
