Ronan McDonald, Managing Director, Critical Impact, explains: “Our customers work across a number of sectors from general commercial and finance to retail and from gaming to healthcare. They each face different challenges when it comes to managing and storing their data. Although we have already signed up an all-flash provider, it was clear we needed to also offer a high performance and cost effective hybrid storage solution.”

After researching the market, Critical Impact turned to X-IO in order to meet the growing read and write demands its customers are facing. X-IO’s Intelligent Storage solutions are proven to accelerate transactional, reporting and business intelligence applications at least three times if not more. With a focus on both consistent and accelerated performance using either hard disk drives (HDD) or a hybrid solution combining SSD and HDD, X-IO also offers zero touch, whilst dramatically reducing overall costs and data centre footprint.

Based in London and Yorkshire, Critical Impact’s specialist team has considerable experience working with customers at all levels within finance, retail, healthcare and gaming.

Roger Walton, Vice President EMEA, X-IO Technologies, concluded: “Critical Impact is a well established and respected reseller and we’re delighted to be working together. This relationship underpins our growing commitment to the channel, we offer our partners best in class technology with the best price/performance/capacity on the market. X-IO’s multi-award winning storage has been building momentum across Europe and we are delighted to partner with such experienced and customer driven companies such as Critical Impact.”
