Weatherite in cool deal with Minkels

Weatherite Building Services (WBS) has signed an exclusive agreement with Minkels to install and service its popular Varicondition-DX cooling solution for server rooms.

Minkels is a leading European manufacturer and worldwide supplier of sustainable data centre and server room solutions. The new agreement means WBS will provide installation, commissioning, plus service and maintenance for the Varicondition-DX system, throughout the UK.

Commenting on the deal, Mike Turton, Managing Director of WBS said: “We are delighted to have signed this agreement with such a well-respected manufacturer of sustainable data centre and server room solutions as Minkels. We believe the new partnership offers significant advantages to SME businesses and organisations with local server rooms and SERs. Customers can benefit from the Varicondition’s highly efficient cooling performance and have complete confidence in Weatherite’s expertise in the building services and installation field.”

“We chose WBS as our partner because of their experience and knowledge of cooling for data centres and comms rooms. Weatherite’s capability in this area is second to none and covers the full service including installation, commissioning, plus on-going service and maintenance,” said John Haynes, UK Director, Minkels.

The Varicondition-DX is an energy-efficient cooling solution for server rooms with volumes up to 65m3 and does not necessarily require a raised floor. The units are placed directly near to IT equipment which shortens the air distribution path significantly, improving reliability and saving energy costs.
