In addition to the combined functional benefits of the DataCore and Dot Hill solutions, registered Dot Hill and DataCore EMEA partners can take advantage of an affinity program discount for all combined purchases of Dot Hill and DataCore technology through specialist storage distributor, Hammer.

"DataCore SANsymphony-V can address many of the storage challenges faced by customers today; data migration and storage re-deployment is one example of an application that can help end users do more with their IT investments during tough economic times," stated Andy Hooper, general manager for storage solutions at Hammer. "Dot Hill’s performance flagship AssuredSAN 4000 series and the level 1 caching capabilities of SANsymphony-V also provide an incredible foundation for customers looking to address storage performance improvements."

The AssuredSAN 4000 series is the second Dot Hill platform to achieve the DataCore Ready certification following in the footsteps of the AssuredSAN 3000 earlier this year. The high performance AssuredSAN 4000 compliments the AssuredSAN 3000 by providing users with data transfer speeds of up to 5200 MB/s read and 3000 MB/s write. This delivers an excellent high performance storage infrastructure which can be further enhanced with DataCore’s level 1 caching technology. The combination of Dot Hill AssuredSAN storage and DataCore's SANsymphony-V storage hypervisor can also assist end users in simplifying storage management and greatly improving data availability. Certification under the DataCore Ready program provides end users with the confidence that Dot Hill AssuredSAN 4000 storage solutions have undergone verification testing to ensure joint solution compatibility.

The DataCore storage hypervisor will enable Dot Hill's AssuredSAN 4000 series with added performance acceleration through adaptive caching, space efficiency with thin provisioning and a multitude of high availability (HA) features including synchronous mirroring, and continuous data protection (CDP) for any point-in-time backup and recovery.

"There is great synergy between Dot Hill and DataCore technology, our entire product range is designed from the ground up for high availability and when combined with DataCore’s storage virtualisation and management software a deployment architecture is achieved where single points of failure are eliminated," stated Warren Reid, director of marketing for EMEA at Dot Hill. "This allows both our channel partners and end users to leverage a solid scalable storage solution that will improve business continuity and boost performance at a very attractive price point through our affinity discount program.”

Bjarne Poulsen, NE Sales Director, DataCore Software, confirmed Warren’s thoughts. “It’s a bundle that makes firm sense, combining DataCore SANsymphony-V with the Dot Hill AssuredSAN 4000 series. Partaking customers will receive a solution that gives first class availability, faster applications, full business continuity and future scalability, right out of the box and backed with a sensible price tag. That’s what leading UK holiday provider, Park Resorts experienced when they implemented both.”
