DataCore offers free licenses

During VMworld 2016 Europe, DataCore Software and Adaptive Parallel I/O Software will offer not-for-resale (NFR) license keys for its Parallel I/O-powered DataCore™ Hyper-converged Virtual SAN software at no cost to VMware experts.

The not-for-resale (NFR) license keys include DataCore’s Second-Generation Universal VVols, certified by VMware to manage all types of storage through a universal control plane that allows the administration of virtual machine-based storage policies across a mix of new and existing storage infrastructure

The not-for-resale (NFR) license keys are available for VMware vExpert, VMware Certified Design Expert (VCDX), VMware Certified Advanced Professional (VCAP), VMware Certified Professional (VCP), and VMware Certified Implementation Expert (VCIX). The NFR licenses are intended to support virtualization consultants, instructors and architects involved in efforts aimed at managing and fully leveraging storage assets and available for non-production uses.

“DataCore’s Virtual SAN software delivers the industry’s fastest hyper-converged solutions by unmatched parallel I/O processing,” said Amanda Bedborough, Senior Vice President, DataCore EMEA Operations. “This NFR license offer will make it easy for Vmware experts to explore how parallel processing powers high-performance hyper-converged infrastructure and how Vmware environments benefit dramatically from the DataCore Hyper-converged Virtual SAN software.”

DataCore’s powerful Parallel I/O technology helps increase the performance of Tier-1 business applications for higher productivity, as well as to consolidate infrastructure by doing more workloads and delivering the fastest response times at the lowest cost. On the base of its Parallel I/O technology, DataCore set new performance and price-performance marks for hyper-converged and storage solutions using one of the industry’s most prestigious benchmarks; the Storage Performance Council’s SPC-1[1]. The NFR license keys are available at no cost to qualified experts and may be obtained by registering at: http://info.datacore.com/free-NFR-VMware-Professionals. Keys must be used for non-production purposes only.

Second-Generation Universal VVols
DataCore Hyper-converged Virtual SAN also incorporates the latest advances in the universal vSphere Virtual Volumes (VVols) support. DataCore’s implementation of VVols creates a storage services platform that unifies data storage resources whether they are SAN, converged, hyper-converged or cloud, and works across a wide diversity of other vendors solutions and all types of storage (disk subsystems, flash/SSD arrays, DAS, etc.).

DataCore universal VVols add the ability to provide a universal control plane that allows the instrumentation and administration of virtual machine-based storage policies to be easily managed across a mix of new and existing storage infrastructure investments from one or many vendors, even if they are not VVols certified. This improves operational efficiency through a common management and policy platform where data services and performance service level demands are decoupled from any underlying deficiencies.
