A10 adds intelligent automation

As distributed denial of service (DDoS) attacks increase in size and scope, A10 Networks has launched its latest defence against these threats with what it says is the most powerful DDoS protection solution available on the market. The company is strengthening its A10 Thunder™ TPS (Threat Protection System) platform with surgical flow-based detection via the new A10 Thunder TPS Detector, which integrates with A10 aGalaxy TPS management to provide automated mitigation for TPS Mitigator.











More than half of customers could walk away in the event of a major data breach

As the Data Protection Bill receives its second reading, research from Baringa Partners reveals companies risk losing up to 55% of customers if they suffer a significant personal data leak, according to Baringa Partners. The research, which investigates consumer attitudes towards data protection, is particularly timely given the expected rise in reported data breaches under the EU’s General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR).


Palo Alto Networks expands CASB offering

Palo Alto Networks says that its Cloud Access Security Broker (CASB) offering, Aperture™ SaaS security service, now provides application protections for several Amazon Web Services (AWS) solutions, including Amazon Elastic Compute Cloud (Amazon EC2), AWS Identity and Access Management (IAM) and Amazon Simple Storage Service (Amazon S3).





DDoS threats analysed in global threat report

Imperva has released its Q2 2017 Global DDoS Threat Landscape Report, a statistical analysis of more than 15,000 network and application layer DDoS attacks mitigated by Imperva Incapsula’s services during Q2 2017. Information about DDoS bot capabilities and assumed identities comes from a random sample of 39.1 billion DDoS bot requests collected from such assaults over the same period.
