SSE adds Ark and iomart

SSE Enterprise Telecoms – the UK’s leading provider of network infrastructure services, and part of the SSE Group – has added two new facilities to its expanding UK fibre network: Ark Data Centres’ Spring Park and iomart Glasgow.  Both data centres benefit from diverse routes and will have access to its full range of Carrier Ethernet and optical services.



IT teams face skills shortage

Brocade has published a new Global Digital Transformation Skills Study, which aims to uncover how well-placed global IT leaders consider themselves and their teams to be in terms of meeting current and future business demands. Of the six markets surveyed, Germany was found to be the best prepared to meet its digital transformation goals, closely followed by the U.S., while the UK lagged well behind its counterparts.


Addressing future uncertainties

At the 2017 Global Future Network Development Summit, David Wang, Huawei's President of Products and Solutions, gave a speech where he stated, that in terms of top-level architecture, future networks need to return to business fundamentals and that network planning and deployment should center around how to realize business value.
