Sovereign cloud solutions: Everpure & BlackBox hosting collaboration

Everpure has partnered with BlackBox Hosting to support sovereign cloud services in the UK, focusing on infrastructure improvements and data sovereignty requirements.

Everpure has partnered with BlackBox Hosting, a UK provider of managed private cloud solutions. The collaboration supports BlackBox Hosting in responding to increased demand for sovereign cloud services in the UK, as organisations seek to move data away from international providers and adopt solutions aligned with data sovereignty requirements in a changing global environment.

For more than a decade, BlackBox Hosting has supported major software companies in the UK and serves over one million end users. Over this period, it has observed data becoming an increasingly important business asset, contributing to AI development, cyber resilience, and overall competitiveness. In this context, data management has become more significant, alongside growing concerns about data sovereignty and reliance on public cloud services. BlackBox Hosting upgraded its legacy infrastructure using Everpure technology to support sovereign data management for UK customers.

Thousands of customer services were migrated to the Everpure platform. Following the transition, BlackBox Hosting reported improved storage latency and increased availability. Disaster recovery capabilities were also enhanced, supporting continuity for business-critical services.

Additional outcomes include:

  • Migration: Customers experienced a transition without downtime, with future upgrades supported through Everpure’s Evergreen//Forever subscription model.
  • Performance: A reported 12% performance improvement, with reduced storage bottlenecks and more consistent application performance.
  • Disaster recovery: Improved protection of customer data and support for business continuity.
  • Sustainability: Replacement of older disk-based systems resulted in an 87% reduction in physical footprint and an 85% reduction in CO₂ emissions, supporting environmental objectives.

The partnership is positioned around addressing data sovereignty considerations while supporting secure, efficient, and more sustainable data management in the UK.
