Hyland announces updates to advance enterprise automation

Hyland has expanded its enterprise content management (ECM) portfolio with new updates aimed at enhancing AI capabilities, automation, and management of unstructured data.

Hyland has expanded its enterprise content management (ECM) portfolio through its Content Innovation Cloud, supporting the deployment of enterprise AI and agentic automation. In the fourth quarter of 2025, customer adoption increased by 220%, with organisations increasingly using Hyland for agentic content services to support the use of unstructured data.

Building on this growth, Hyland has introduced updates across the Content Innovation Cloud and its ECM solutions. The changes are intended to enhance agentic automation, integrate enterprise content, and support the development of digital experiences with greater security and efficiency.

The updates apply to platforms including Hyland Automate, Hyland Intelligent Document Processing (IDP), Content Federation Service, OnBase, Alfresco, and Nuxeo. They align with the company’s objective of enabling organisations to derive insights from enterprise content and support business outcomes.

The new capabilities expand support for agentic orchestration and automation. Hyland Automate now allows users to create and deploy AI agents through natural language prompts. It also includes automated redaction of sensitive information to support compliance and adds dynamic, interactive elements to forms to improve usability.

Hyland IDP introduces AI-based classification, broader support for file and text recognition, and a reporting module that provides visibility into processing accuracy, performance, and compliance in near real time.

The Content Federation Service enables access to content across multiple repositories without requiring data migration. It supports access to content stored in systems such as OnBase, Alfresco, Nuxeo, and SharePoint 365 and aims to surface insights across these environments.

Updates to Hyland Alfresco include enhanced security controls, updated authorisation processes, and improved accessibility. The latest Nuxeo updates focus on operational streamlining, compliance support, and platform scalability.

Through these developments, Hyland continues to expand its content automation capabilities across its portfolio, supporting organisations in managing information, improving process efficiency, and strengthening governance.
