STULZ GmbH expands production for advanced liquid cooling solutions

STULZ GmbH launches a new production facility in Hamburg, focusing on cutting-edge liquid cooling technology for data centres.

STULZ GmbH, a manufacturer for mission critical air conditioning technology, has unveiled a brand-new production facility focused on liquid cooling solutions at its Hamburg headquarters. This expansion highlights the company's strategic efforts to cater to the surging demand for advanced cooling systems necessary for high-performance computing and AI-driven data centres.

The initiative reflects close collaboration among STULZ's research, product management, and service teams. By fostering seamless communication and coordinated workflows, the company is well-positioned to hasten the introduction of innovative liquid cooling systems, enhancing both efficiency and market readiness. This move also bolsters its commitment to outstanding customer support worldwide.

‘Liquid cooling is a highly effective way to efficiently dissipate heat from the sensitive IT equipment found in modern data centres,’ explained Jörg Desler, global director technology at STULZ GmbH. ‘Liquid cooling solutions must therefore be manufactured to the highest standards, with rigorously tested materials, modern quality management, efficient production processes, and qualified and experienced personnel. We are proud to have these attributes in place in Hamburg and are already expanding upon them with our new production facility.’

STULZ's liquid cooling portfolio offers customisable solutions for diverse data centre needs. Providing features like advanced chillers with free cooling for energy efficiency and innovative micro-modular products for scalable deployments, these technologies ensure optimal performance and sustainable operation.

The CyberCool CMU, a significant beneficiary of the enhanced production capabilities, stands out among their offerings. Designed for precise control over liquid cooling infrastructures, it optimises coolant flow rates and pressure management, thereby improving system efficiency. Available in two sizes, this unit can be tailored to meet project-specific requirements with outputs reaching 1380kW. Manufactured in Hamburg, the CyberCool CMU caters to the EMEA and US markets, with other branches of STULZ meeting international demand. The new facility also paves the way for novel models and sizes, ensuring job security and driving strategic growth.

As the global director of technology, Jörg Desler expressed that Liquid cooling technology remains central to STULZ's ambitions to strengthen its technological footprint and maintain its high standards, as they continue advancing solutions tailored for high-performance computing and AI-driven data centres.
