Arctic Wolf®, a leader in security operations, has officially opened its new EMEA Headquarters in Newcastle, as it celebrates rapid growth across Europe, the Middle East and Africa (EMEA).
Located in Newcastle’s city centre, the new office will provide a hub for Arctic Wolf’s continuing EMEA growth, with 30 new roles anticipated in Newcastle by the end of 2022. It is expected that the new headquarters will bring hundreds of jobs to the North East over the next few years, tapping into the region’s growing pool of world-class technology talent.
Arctic Wolf first established an EMEA team in April 2021.Since then, Arctic Wolf opened its first European Security Operations Centre in Germany in November 2021 and doubled its customer count quarter-over-quarter across the region. Arctic Wolf has established teams in nine countries across Europe, recruited over 90 EMEA Partners and continue to add around 20 new partners each quarter.
Arctic Wolf also established its first teams in South Africa and Norway this month and has plans to continue to expand into new markets in EMEA through 2023.
Clare Loveridge, Arctic Wolf’s Vice President & General Manager EMEA, commented: “Arctic Wolf continues to grow, and we have ambitious hiring goals, both for staff and partners. The time is right for the EMEA team to have a home base in the UK, and as a Geordie myself, I am excited to establish that headquarters in Newcastle.”
“Establishing our home here in the North East was an easy decision. The UK workforce is changing and the North East has quickly established itself as a new hub for leading technology firms looking to set up shop outside of the capital. There is a fantastic pool of talent growing in the region which we look forward to attracting to Arctic Wolf.”
Dawn Dunn, Digital and Tech Sector Lead, Newcastle Gateshead Initiative (NGI), said: “It’s fantastic to see this fast-growing US-based cyber security company cementing their commitment to Newcastle with the launch of their Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA) UK headquarters. They have embedded themselves in the heart of our tech ecosystem and vibrant city centre.
“This is a real commitment and a major step forward in growing their team and profile in the North East. The region has a wealth of expertise in cyber security and I look forward to watching them thrive as they continue to grow our talent pool.”
