The UK energy market is evolving at an unprecedented rate. The twin drivers of de-carbonisation and the de-centralisation of energy production, set against a backdrop of advances in technology and new market participants, present the opportunity for ElectraLink to bring new services and outcomes to the market and customers.

DXC’s solution will provide ElectraLink with an agile, adaptive and responsive market capability, delivering new outcomes while driving greater cost efficiencies. As ElectraLink is a regulated central body, these improvements are essential to ensuring that the Energy Market Data Hub (EMDH) remains cost effective, secure and a key enabler of a competitive market. The DXC solution delivers digital applications/DevOps (application services), networks and workplace services for ElectraLink, enabling the agility to meet the unique challenges of the industry.

“Under this new contract with DXC, ElectraLink’s EMDH users will continue to receive the high-performance services that they have come to rely on and will be able to use the platform to develop innovative new services for the energy market that will benefit consumers,” said Stuart Lacey, chief executive, ElectraLink. “Existing and new energy market participants will be able to use the EMDH to meet the myriad challenges of the UK energy market and those that are yet unknown.”

“Having worked together for nearly 20 years, DXC is delighted to collaborate further with ElectraLink to deliver a clear and confident focus on harnessing the benefits of digital transformation,” said Maruf Majed, senior vice president and regional general manager for the UK, Ireland, Israel, Middle East and Africa. “This will provide the agility to bring new services to market quickly and securely with an EMDH that is capable of expanding services and addressing changing industry demands across all utilities, well beyond the next 10 years.”
