Proact builds Axima’s new data centre to support strategic growth

Machinery trading company Axima has assigned Proact to equip its new data centre. Proact’s solution will underpin Axima’s growth initiatives and includes a range of new infrastructure components, including a backup system and network switches, all covered by Proact Premium Support.

Axima specialises in the sales and rental of machinery and vehicles for agriculture, forestry and construction. The company has 18 locations in southern Sweden and enjoys solid growth. Business growth is the principal motive for Axima’s decision to invest in a new data centre.

A key reason for Axima electing to go with Proact’s solution was the excellent integration between the new data centre platform and the company’s existing, virtualised environment. It also delivers a substantial performance boost, which will especially benefit Axima’s ERP system, the company’s most business critical IT function.

“Our IT infrastructure was due for an overhaul. Proact showed that it could deliver according to our specifications and the solution appeared to be the perfect fit for us. We get better performance, increased capacity and can enable more effective and secure backups of our critical data. The solution also provides better support for managing our IT environment,” says Joel Dahl, IT Manager at Axima.

”It’s gratifying to know that Axima values our ability to analyse its needs and to devise the right solution. The added value of Proact’s offering stems from our solid understanding of IT infrastructure. The skills involved not only cover various data centre components, and how these work together, but also making an overall design tailoured to business requirements,” says Lena Eskilsson, Managing Director at Proact Sweden.
