Tieto signs outsourcing agreement with insurance company Folksam

Folksam and Tieto continue to develop their partnership with an outsourcing agreement under which Tieto takes over the responsibility for Folksam’s IT operations in Östersund, Sweden. The agreement includes that Folksam IT operations employees in Östersund will be offered employment within Tieto. This will further strengthen Tieto's position in the Swedish market and will add valuable expertise in application management and consulting services.

80 percent of CIOs planning Big Data projects in 2017

Talend has released the findings of a survey of 169 IT decision makers, indicating big data, analytics and governance top the list of priorities in 2017. The findings show real-time analytics, metadata management, and self-service data access make up nearly 70 percent of the projects IT leaders intend to execute in 2017, as they get their data in shape to pursue artificial intelligence (AI) and machine learning in the future.




CA Technologies to acquire Veracode

CA Technologies has signed a definitive agreement to acquire Veracode, a leader in securing web, mobile and third-party applications across the software development lifecycle, for approximately $614 million in cash. The transaction is expected to close in the first quarter of fiscal year 2018, and is subject to customary closing conditions, including regulatory approvals.









Nordic pioneers join forces

Sofigate and 3gamma, the biggest IT management consulting companies in the Nordics, are joining forces. As Sofigate acquires 3gamma, the joint company will have offices in four countries: UK, Denmark, Sweden and Finland. By 2020, the company is aiming to grow into the leading IT management advisory and consulting services company, with 750 employees and a revenue of 100 million euros.





Cisco to acquire AppDynamics

Cisco is to acquire AppDynamics, Inc., a privately held application intelligence software company based in San Francisco. AppDynamics's cloud application and business monitoring platform enables the world's largest companies to improve application and business performance.  Cisco will acquire AppDynamics for approximately $3.7 billion in cash and assumed equity awards.
