The joint solution allows Sify customers to deploy Versa's software-defined WAN and software-defined branch VNFs that enable a smooth transition from their existing connectivity and security systems. The SIFY/Versa SD-WAN offer ensures that clients realize greater TCO, highly secure and available edge connectivity, application user experience, and traffic conditioning with optimization and flexibility.

Sify's Versa-enabled software-defined managed and secure-branch offerings allow organizations to gain multiple benefits, including:

  • Edge networks that seamlessly support hybrid cloud/IT
  • Secure and managed environments that bolster digital transformation strategies
  • Low operational cost and time-to-market advantages: centralized control and automated provisioning

Kumar Mehta, Co-Founder and CDO of Versa Networks, said: "Our partnership with SIFY Indian Enterprises accelerates the enterprise's digital transformation journey. Versa's offer achieves 80% TCO savings, supports connectivity over any transport, enhances application experience, has built in NSS Labs' recommended NGFW security and UTM, delivers flawless voice and video experience using traffic conditioning, and supports multi-cloud environments.

Sify's SD-WAN and SD-Branch offering utilizes the Versa FlexVNF Software, which combines network and security capabilities to provide a full suite of Layer 3 to Layer 7 IP services that are built on a cloud-native, multitenant software platform. It provides strong segmentation and integrated on-premises security functions that enable a dynamic policy-driven infrastructure with user, device, location, application and network context.

Daniel Alex, President, Telecom Business, Sify said: "All of Sify's upcoming solutions integrate a Cloud@Core framework. We see this as the central architecture around which today's legacy infrastructure will transition to a cloud-centric platform. Sify's Versa-powered SD-WAN offering will be a crucial element to enable this transition. This partnership with Versa is designed to make available to enterprises best-of-breed, software-defined solutions in their shift to becoming better equipped for a digital transformation era.
