First-ever free edition of WhatsUp Gold released by Ipswitch

“We are providing this free, limited use, copy of our award-winning software so that any IT team can enjoy our unique, topology-based monitoring including an interactive network map, intelligent alarms and powerful, easily-customized dashboards,” said Kevin Conklin, Vice President of Product Marketing and Content at Ipswitch.

With this free license, users can discover, map and visualize their entire network environment, including cloud resources. The five-element limitation will allow them to monitor core switches, thus tracking the availability and performance of 240 ports. Users can also monitor the status and availability of five cloud resources and track billing and usage data, monitor five Windows servers, including application services and a virtually unlimited number of WMI counters; and backup, archive, restore and set management policies for router, switch and firewall configurations.
