Server Technology & RF Code partner

Server Technology, a brand of Legrand and a leading provider of intelligent Rack Power Distribution Units a.k.a. rack PDU(s), and RF Code, a leading provider in real time data center solutions, have introduced an integrated data center solution that significantly simplifies the process of securely monitoring and managing data center power consumption.

This joint offering expands on the already field-proven integration of RF Code’s wire-free power sensors with Server Technology’s rack mount PDUs, by adding support for its PRO 2 Series Platform. The Smart Monitoring power, thresholds, and alert information by the PDU PRO Series Platform is received from wire-free sensors into CenterScape software, providing a consolidated data center power view. Additional integrated features include:

  • Plug-and-Play sensor installation.
  • Savings on IP address costs with wire-free technology.
  • One-way communication support of smart, switched, infeed and outlet-monitored PDU solutions.
  • CenterScape software support of custom configurations for PDU power metrics, alert, and alarm notifications as well as customizable dashboards for IT professionals.

This joint integration advances our belief that the most optimal data center power management solutions are often realized by combining the best-of-breed solutions,” said Calvin Nicholson, Server Technology’s Senior Director of Product Management and Software. “RF Code’s differentiated, wire-free solution aligns perfectly with Server Technology’s emphasis on intelligent power monitoring that affects data center usage, efficiency, and cost. We share this view of capable simplicity, which is demonstrated in the solutions we bring to market.”

“The combination of these two products will enable data center operators to gain greater intelligence into their power usage through the CenterScape Platform,” said Jonathan Luce, Senior Vice President of Strategic Partnerships at RF Code. “Further, the integration will provide data centers the ability to take actionable measures while maintaining uptime, and increasing efficiency and cutting costs.”
