Acronis has appointed Dan Havens as its Chief Growth Officer (CGO) to accelerate the adoption of Acronis’ cyber protection solutions across the enterprises in the Global 2000. Havens replaced Laurent Dedenis, who will be leading a blockchain Platform-as-a-Service technology startup Chainstack, a yet another Acronis’ spinoff.

In this role, Havens will be responsible for all strategic and enterprise engagements, including strategic partnerships in motorsport and expanding Acronis footprint in the aerospace, automotive, manufacturing, and datacenter industries.

Havens brings over 25 years of experience in building software companies having spent the last 12 years specifically in the cloud space.  Prior to joining Acronis, Havens helped build and sell numerous start-ups while running the cloud business for Hewlett Packard Enterprise (HPE) where he carried a billion-dollar quota.

Prior to HPE, Havens held the position of VP of Worldwide Sales at Odin (Parallels), where he built out the capacity and lead the expansion of the Odin Automation Cloud Platform beyond the traditional hosting space. These efforts resulted in record growth for the company.

“Acronis has the pillars within its portfolio to address the biggest challenges facing corporate IT today. The sheer amount of data being produced and the requirement to protect, defend and drive value from this data has become a monumental challenge to corporate IT. It is now Dan Havens’ responsibility to prove it,” said Jan-Jaap Jager, Chief Revenue Officer at Acronis.

Havens has been a featured speaker and evangelist on digital transformation, hybrid cloud and IoT strategies and is a paid advisor to companies on these topics.

Havens began his career as a Product Manager and Public Speaker for the Boeing Commercial Aircraft Group and holds a BS in Engineering with Minors in Math, Physics, and Speech.
