Vertiv expands Customer Experience Centre for Thermal Management

State-of-the-art Adiabatic Freecooling Chiller Innovation Lab is designed to develop latest thermal management technologies and to test performances under real field conditions.

Vertiv has announced the inauguration of a new, high-tech Adiabatic Freecooling Chiller Innovation Lab within its Customer Experience Centre for Thermal Management, based in Padova, Italy. Unique in its class, the facility now counts six innovation labs all in one site. In addition to continuous R&D and product testing, the Centre is designed to introduce existing and prospective customers to the Vertiv award-winning thermal management portfolio, and experience first-hand a wide variety of technologies to help them evaluate which are most suited for their specific needs.

Supported by constant consultation from R&D and engineering specialists, customers visiting the Centre from around the world can witness the most comprehensive range of cooling equipment – from pumped refrigerant to evaporative technologies – all under one roof. The latest Adiabatic Freecooling Chiller Innovation Lab provides the unique opportunity to test chillers up to 1.5 MW in extreme operating conditions between -10 and +55 degrees Celsius. With the addition of the new lab, the Centre has the exceptional capability of simulating any partial load at infinite test points up to an unrivalled 5 MW of total installed capacity.

Giordano Albertazzi, president for Vertiv in Europe, Middle East and Africa, commented, “Our award-winning portfolio is a result of continued investment in R&D and constant analysis of customer feedback. This new Lab further demonstrates our laser focus on developing industry leading technology, and our commitment to providing customers with advanced product knowledge. We know that no two installations are the same, so it is vital that the equipment put into each facility is right for its specific design and needs. The Customer Experience Centres are the perfect venue to see all technologies in action, and to work collaboratively with customers to ensure they implement the best solution to match their requirements in any given condition.”
