Cloudian has expanded its EMEA presence with the creation of a new team in France. This expansion supports the growing demand from enterprises and CSPs in the region for Cloudian’s scale-out storage solutions.

Cloudian’s consistent growth across EMEA, and the growing demand in France for innovative unstructured data management solutions, drove the business to increase its presence in the country.

Leading this expansion are Eric Peters, regional sales manager, and Peter Long, technical sales engineer, who will support existing customers and develop further channel relationships. With more than 40 years of storage experience between them, Mr. Peters and Mr. Long bring a deep understanding of the French market.

Mr. Peters previously served in sales leadership roles at Dell EMC, NetApp, Pure Storage and Oracle. At Cloudian, he will work with channel partners and integrators to actively promote Cloudian enterprise storage solutions across the region. Mr. Long joins Cloudian after more than six years as a principal architect and storage enterprise technologist at Dell EMC. He will serve as the technical point of contact for Cloudian in France.

Cloudian HyperStore provides the industry’s most compatible storage platform for unstructured data consolidation, supporting use cases that include data protection, file sharing, media active archives, healthcare, artificial intelligence (AI) and more. Cloudian’s cost-effective entry point and modular scalability make it easy for enterprises and CSPs to get started and then grow seamlessly on demand.

“Eric and Peter join Cloudian at an ideal time as we exit a record-breaking 2017 with phenomenal growth across EMEA,” said Michael Tso, CEO and co-founder of Cloudian. “Their expertise and deep knowledge of the industry will help build on the foundation we’ve established with pan-European partnerships.”

Cloudian has a number of strong partnerships in the region, including Duonyx, Exclusive Networks, Lenovo and HPE.

“At Duonyx, we make strategic partner decisions based on technology, sales strategy and agility, with our customer’s needs always at the forefront,” said Caroline Desmarquest, co- founder at Duonyx. “For more than two years we’ve partnered with Cloudian, whose products are differentiated by a 100% native S3 API, superior ease-of-use, and a flexible scaling model. These features bring great value for our customers,  and we are delighted to see Cloudian making this commitment and investment in the French storage market.”
