Thingstream enables low power, secure, low cost connectivity over GSM, without reliance on cellular data or SMS; almost anywhere in the world. Thingstream’s products communicate using the very popular MQTT messaging protocol, making them universally easy to work with.

Once registered, users will have access to the following products via the online store:

  • The Thingstream Global IoT SIM
  • The Thingstream IoT Module, providing integrated GSM/GPS connectivity out of the box with 15 GPIOs, powered by an NXP MCU, allowing easy application development using NXP MCUXpresso
  • The Thingstream Starter Kit, a combination of the Thingstream Module, bundled with an easy access, companion baseboard, antenna and 90 days full access to the Thingstream Global Connectivity Platform, which includes a powerful MQTT broker and flow editor
  • The Thingstream Button, a versatile programmable GSM connected button that works almost anywhere in the world.

Neil Hamilton, VP of Business Development at Thingstream, explains “Our solutions are designed to enable simple IoT connectivity and address many of the common difficulties faced by manufacturers when building connected devices, such as cost, power and data vulnerability.

“Our Starter Kit has so far been well received amongst device manufacturers across a range of sectors and, with our range of connectivity products, we hope to enable more companies to build low power connected devices that leverage one ubiquitous, global network.”

Gordon Padkin, Regional Marketing Manager for Microcontrollers at NXP, adds “The Thingstream solution helps developers overcome a common challenge of developing and deploying secure, low-power, long range node-to-cloud connectivity solutions.

“By tightly integrating the Thingstream solution, our Microcontrollers and the enablement
bundle this provides gives us a great platform for rapid product development.”

Thingstream’s technology has been developed for use across many vertical sectors including, asset tracking, logistics/supply chain, facilities management, energy and environmental monitoring.
