The Cloud Industry Forum (CIF) says that MHA MacIntyre Hudson, a leading provider of accountancy, audit, tax and business advisory services, has become the latest organisation to join its growing roster of members. The two organisations will work together to help demystify the use of cloud computing in the accountancy profession.

MHA MacIntyre Hudson provides a broad range of financial and business strategy services to a broad range of companies, individuals and entrepreneurs including a growing technology practice. As a member of Baker Tilly International, MHA brings global links with tech clients throughout the world. This scalability enables both a full ‘cradle to grave’ business service, and a lower cost-base that suits our SME and mid-market clients in this sector

Most recently the organisation expanded its cloud computing capabilities by committing to Cloud Accounting, a phenomenon that is revolutionising the way accountants interact with their clients. Some of MHA MacIntyre Hudson’s platinum cloud partners include Sage One, QuickBooks Online, Xero and various others.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of cloud services and, through its Professional CIF Membership scheme, assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.

Jason Mitchell, Partner and Head of Technology at MHA MacIntyre Hudson, said: “We are delighted to join CIF as the membership will offer us a platform to discuss, engage and develop our skills within the cloud supplier community. The UK’s tech sector is a thriving, significant engine for growth. In this highly competitive world we know that our technology clients need tailored, practical advice to give them the competitive advantage they need at each milestone in their ‘life cycle’. Being part of CIF, which is the leading cloud organisation in the UK, means that we will have the inside track on happenings within the industry. This in turn will help us to deliver bigger and better digital transformation strategies that will enable our clients to achieve competitive advantage.”

Alex Hilton, CEO of CIF, commented: “With new of cloud technologies, organisations are looking to identify risks and benefits of the cloud computing and how to best utilise it. Hosting data and financial information in the clouds raises regulatory and compliance questions that need to be considered carefully and addressed. CIF plays an important role in offering guidance on these issues and we look forward to working with MHA MacIntyre Hudson to closely to educate the market and ensure that businesses can continue to take advantage of cloud.”
