The dynamic French market is the next location for Exasol as it seeks to capitalise on growing demand in the region for high-performance database solutions that can handle today's high-transaction volumes. Organisations not only need the fastest database to help them deliver the best insights to their clients, but they also require superior reliability, concurrency and scalability.
Benjamin Caller, Exasol's new CMO, will lead the office. He has vast experience of global growth from his previous roles at the likes of VMware. The Paris office further cements Exasol's established position in the French market, with partners and customers already located in the region. They will benefit from a local point of presence in the centre of Paris, close to the Arc de Triomphe area of west Paris, home to many leading businesses, universities and technology start-up innovators.
France, along with the wider European continent, faces numerous data challenges in the coming months and years, particularly with the implementation of the EU Genera Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) in May 2018. This new directive will harmonise and toughen rules on data collection, storage, use and disposal. Modern in-region analytical database platforms will help companies extract value from their data, while ensuring compliance.
"The French market offers considerable opportunities, thanks to the booming tech scene in Paris. These organisations are doing more with data to aid decision-making, improve customer engagement and competitiveness. With the opening of our Paris office, Exasol is perfectly placed to support these great steps in European business advancement with our market-leading in-memory database technology, delivering the performance and fast insights that businesses need and helping people be great at what they do," said Caller.
"Having a local presence in our major markets is proving very popular with our customers and partners, as demonstrated by our London office and now with our opening in Paris. Being in-region allows us to recognise the unique local needs of each market. It ensures our partners get the support they need to deliver the better, more memorable customer engagements with the Exasol platform," added Aaron Auld, CEO of Exasol.
