Silver Peak and NEC Networks and System Integration Corporation form global distribution agreement

Leading Japanese systems integrator selects powerful Silver Peak SD-WAN solution; delivers turnkey systems integration, service and support to global enterprise clients.

Silver Peak has reached d a formal global distribution agreement with NEC Networks and System Integration Corporation (NESIC) to address the burgeoning demand for SD-WAN technologies across the Japanese and broader global markets. NESIC will immediately serve as a global distributor of the Silver Peak Unity EdgeConnect SD-WAN solution and offer turn-key systems integration services. Comprehensive maintenance and support services will be delivered by NESIC global partner NCR Group, throughout 180 countries.
NESIC will focus on enterprises embracing cloud-based services with 100 or more global offices, initially targeting the manufacturing, financial and services sector markets. EdgeConnect is ideally suited to provide NESIC clients with secure and reliable virtual overlays to connect users to applications with the flexibility to use any combination of underlying transport technologies without compromising network or application performance. This allows enterprises clients to confidently accelerate cloud initiatives, realise substantial cost savings and attain greater business agility.
Following an extensive evaluation of competitive SD-WAN technologies, NESIC selected EdgeConnect based on the maturity and completeness of its advanced features and capabilities. Compelling features include: application-based traffic control and granular internet breakout with First-packet iQ, dynamic path conditioning to assure predictable application performance and an integrated WAN optimisation performance pack, Unity Boost to accelerate data and applications traffic across the WAN. In addition, EdgeConnect offers flexible deployment models, including BGP routing interoperability to ease client transitions from legacy WAN architectures to SD-WAN.
