Gigamon names industry marketing leader Kim DeCarlis as CMO

Global marketing executive brings security, cloud and management expertise to drive increased market visibility, brand awareness and industry relevance for Gigamon.

Gigamon says that Kim DeCarlis has joined Gigamon as chief marketing officer (CMO). DeCarlis, a well-respected marketing executive, built high performing marketing organisations at top technology companies, most recently Imperva. At Gigamon, she will oversee all aspects of global marketing including corporate marketing, communications, product marketing and management, demand generation, field and channel marketing, and customer programmes.

Under her leadership, the company will focus on driving greater awareness and demand for Gigamon visibility solutions across global markets.”
DeCarlis has over 25 years of marketing, sales, management and leadership experience in growth-oriented technology companies. She comes to Gigamon most recently from Imperva, where she served as CMO and led global marketing. Prior to Imperva, she led the worldwide marketing organisation at BMC and spent five years as the VP of corporate marketing at Citrix. Throughout her career, DeCarlis held senior leadership and product marketing positions at leading companies including Information Resources, Saba, Documentum, Xerox and IBM.

DeCarlis is a frequent speaker at industry events on B2B marketing and C-level marketing engagement and was recognised by the Silicon Valley Business Journal as one of the “2010 Silicon Valley Women of Influence.” She is a board member of Children's Discovery Museum of San Jose, and Girls in Tech (GIT), a global nonprofit focused on the engagement, education and empowerment of girls and women who are passionate about technology. DeCarlis is also an advisor to Entytle, Inc. and was a past board director for Watermark. She holds a B.S. in Industrial Engineering from Stanford University.
