HUBER+SUHNER launches next generation LISA side access and IANOS lite

HUBER+SUHNER will launch its next generation LISA side access system  and IANOS lite, the next step in making IANOS a complete system offering, at Data Centre World London, taking place March 15-16.

HUBER+SUHNER will be launching the next generation of the enhanced ODF solution LISA side access fiber tray for cross-connect applications, boosted to further improve flexibility, practicality and user-friendliness. The new cable fixation clip feature increases reliability of installation by making the need for cable ties redundant. The new design also allows a reduction of stock items for configuration through its new colour coding concept which in turn increases operational efficiency and flexibility. Finally, the pigtail cover protects the fibres from being touched and damaged during operation.
The new IANOS lite – HUBER+SUHNER’s most advanced and adaptable fibre management system to date – facilitates modules and pre-terminated cable systems for best in class handling, speed of installation and scalability, all of which are key factors in future-proofing the data centres of tomorrow. IANOS lite is a fixed tray solution able to handle single and twin modules with a total of up to 48 ports. The design allows complete customisation and configuration offerings according to various customer needs.
“The feedback we received after launching IANOS last year was very positive, but many of our customers said they would also have liked a version of IANOS that allowed them to have a fix tray,” said Eduardo Lopes, Head of Product Management FMS at HUBER+SUHNER. “As a natural progression, we went ahead and developed a next generation of the technology that met these demands. We are very much looking forward to demonstrating this system and its capabilities to Data Centre World London visitors.”
HUBER+SUHNER will also be actively involved in Data Centre World’s Green Data Centre, an interactive, live feature which will showcase products and solutions, giving visitors an insight into a working data center. Raising awareness of its products, solutions and technologies, HUBER+SUHNER will not just be focusing on the connectivity of today but also that of tomorrow.
Optical switching will play an integral part in this concept. HUBER+SUHNER will showcase Polatis, the leading supplier of high performance dynamic all-optical switch solutions for software-defined network provisioning, protecting, monitoring, reconfiguration and test.  Its solutions are perfect for the data centre market, and HUBER+SUHNER’s data centre team will be on hand to discuss with visitors their vision of how data centres might use this technology in the near future, as part of its long-term evolution plan.
“We have chosen Data Centre World as the launch platform for our new solutions as it is renowned for being the biggest and best show to exhibit new technologies in the data centre sector,” said Reto Huber, Business Unit Manager, Fiber Management Systems at HUBER+SUHNER. “As the world’s largest gathering of key players in the data centre field, this is the perfect stage for us to manage existing customer relationships, while raising awareness of HUBER+SUHNER to make lasting new ones.”
