PRO IT supports Australian financial market

PRO IT has chosen the Zadara VPSA storage array architecture to support the Australian and multinational financial and media markets. By deploying the Zadara Storage VPSA On-Premise-as-a-Service (OPaaS) solution, PRO IT is able to transition from a CapEx model to a pure OpEx model, all while addressing its scalability, agility, performance and data sovereignty requirements.

PRO IT was founded in 1999 to provide an alternative to conventional IT support. As a service provider, it offers outsourced services to the Australian and multinational financial and media markets. With the growing market demand for cloud enablement, PRO IT has grown its business by providing turnkey solutions with a personal, flexible and cost effective approach. As its business grew, PRO IT faced some challenging requirements. First, it needed to provide an offering that addressed data sovereignty. Data needed to be stored in country, and in many cases within the customer’s own data center. Another key requirement for PRO IT was to provide each of its customers with industry-leading Quality-of-Service (QoS) and predictable performance.

PRO IT researched the market and found only one vendor that could offer a Storage-as-a-Service (STaaS) solution with the flexibility of being in the cloud, on-premise and in hybrid configurations.  The vendor was Zadara Storage. As Bekir Kilic, the managing director for PRO IT explained, “Zadara Storage helped us address our key challenges, such as data sovereignty and resource isolation. They aligned perfectly with our business. No other vendor was able to align with our managed services business model the way that Zadara Storage could. We are now able to offer complete storage scalability on-demand.”

PRO IT has now been able to offer its customers a fully OpEx-based Storage-as-a-Service solution in an on-premise model. This has allowed the firm to expand its offering into new services. It now offers Backup-as-a-Service (BaaS), Disaster Recovery-as-a-Service (DRaaS), and Dev/Test-as-a-Service.

“Our customers want to enjoy the economic benefits of Storage-as-a-Service, but can’t afford to give up the enterprise features they have come to depend on,” explained Bekir Kilic. “Our managed services need to provide world-class functionality for us to maintain our competitive advantage.  With Zadara Storage we have been able to exceed customer expectations.”

“With Zadara’s On-Premise as-a-Service offering, PRO IT has been able to transition its business from a CapEx model to an agile OpEx environment,” said Dani Naor, vice president, international sales at Zadara Storage. “We are pleased to be able to help them leverage the competitive advantages of Storage-as-a-Service to address its business challenges and grow the business.”
