Axial Systems joins forces with Babcock MSS

Axial Systems is partnering with leading managed security services provider, Babcock MSS as part of a game-changing agreement that will address and tackle the growing cyber security threats that businesses worldwide are facing. The two companies bring together a shared focus on innovation; complementary skills sets and technical expertise, enabling them to pinpoint customers’ cyber security problems; advise on action to be taken and resolve issues quickly and efficiently.

The UK-focused partnership is based on a circular customer value chain. Axial has capability and expertise in tapping and aggregation services which provides unparalleled  visibility into networks and the data traffic passing over them. Using innovative protective monitoring- as- a -service technology, Babcock MSS then analyses the data provided by this enhanced visibility to build a profile of what normal activity on the network looks like, while also looking for abnormal behaviour. This in turn generates enhanced awareness and greater customer visibility of cyber security issues. Axial can then resolve many of these issues through its portfolio of complementary security solutions and services.

The approach also enables customers to maximise their Return on Investment (RoI) in existing equipment and effectively get the most out of what they have by maintaining and utilizing the security technology they have already invested in. Adding further value, Babcock MSS works with customers to upskill them and leave a legacy of cyber expertise – effectively the opposite of the traditional ‘black box’ approach to managed service propositions.

“Organisations face growing challenges when it comes to dealing with today’s cyber threat landscape,” says Axial Systems Managing Director, Mike Simmonds. “Both the volume and the complexity of these threats are increasing exponentially . Customers  building their own in-house capability to address this is challenging for their businesses, as it’s increasingly difficult and expensive for them to find and retain the highly-skilled staff they need.

“Our partnership with Babcock MSS offers companies a compelling alternative to that approach,” he continues, “enabling customers to achieve enhanced visibility into their networks and associated traffic, greater awareness of any problems and the ability to resolve them when they do occur. We are experts at providing visibility into the network. Babcock MSS are experts at taking that visibility, analysing it and coming up with an actual solution – and that complementary relationship allows us to clearly differentiate our service offering while generating much greater value for the customer.”

Mike Pimlott, Managing Director, Babcock MSS says: “We are really excited to be working with Axial. Like us, they bring technical excellence to bear in solving their client’s business challenges.  We share a similar sales approach, a passion around our clients and sound business ethics, all of which are focused on quality of service delivery.

“Added to that, the combined partnership will bring innovation to our clients and unique solutions to their individual cyber security,” continues Pimlott. “ Two organisations providing  extensive capability and expertise  that will deliver  a ground-breaking value proposition to customers.”
Axial Systems’ Simmonds concludes: “We are already seeing great traction for this new joint proposition across the marketplace and we only see that growing over time, both in terms of volume as the sales pipeline expands significantly but also in terms of scope as we find new opportunities to work together outside the original parameters of the contract.”
