ATTO Technology has been selected for inclusion in a top-of-the-line solution for building a virtual storage area network (SAN) incorporating devices from AIC and Micron.
AIC chose ATTO’s ExpressSAS® 12Gb host bus adapters (HBAs) and FastFrame™ 40GbE network interface cards (NICs) and Micron’s M510DC 600Gb user capacity cache SSD to developed a VMware® Virtual SAN ready node that brings increases the cost-to-performance ratio of storage clusters while optimizing virtualized environments.
The solution will be demonstrated in AIC’s booth (#640) at VMworld, August 28-31 in Las Vegas, to showcase the benefit and performance of building an all-flash virtual SAN from trusted industry leaders for ease of installation and adoption. The fully tested and certified solution reduces operational expenditures by simplifying storage and network setup for VSANs while offering flexible all-flash or hybrid flash-hard disk drive storage configurations. VSANs allow users to pool storage for better management of resources and, thanks to integrated ATTO software like Advanced Data Streaming (ADS™) and vConfigTool™, low latency and easy manageability is guaranteed.
