GeoLang, based in Cardiff, Wales, develops award winning software, such as Ascema, in order to help secure business assets within the Cloud, and was named the UK’s Most Innovative Small Cyber Security Company by techUK in 2015. GeoLang’s unique approach to securing high value enterprise content in the Cloud and on premise serves as an enabler, supporting early Cloud adoption. The company is currently going through rapid expansion to become internationally recognised as the leading cyber security innovator for Cloud based technologies.

By joining CIF, Geolang will receive up-to-date information about the changing Cloud market as well as valuable technical insight. This will aid GeoLang’s expansion plans and path to international acknowledgement, while also allowing the company to further develop its services for the benefit of its customers.

CIF is a not-for-profit organisation that aims to improve standards and education in the Cloud industry. It provides transparency through certification to a Code of Practice to endorse credible providers of Cloud Services and, through its Professional CIF Membership scheme, assists end users in determining the core information necessary to enable them to adopt such services with confidence.

Debbie Garside, CEO of Geolang said: “Geolang’s focus on the Cloud delivers real value to companies wanting to protect their most valuable information assets across the extended enterprise. In fact, the Ascema platform is seen as a Cloud enabling layer of protection that delivers unique content level protection across the on premise and Cloud / hybrid infrastructure that organisations are eager to take advantage of. We are really excited about the opportunity to align ourselves with CIF, as we will be able to leverage valuable insights on how best to support our customers now and in the future and continue to drive the development of our Ascema platform to meet those requirements in a timely manner, allowing us to keep our competitive advantage in this rapidly changing landscape.

GeoLang has joined CIF as a Cloud start-up, this is following the launch of a number of new membership levels that suit the differing needs of Cloud providers, no matter what their size, scale or product and service offering.

Alex Hilton, CEO of the Cloud Industry Forum, added: “We are elated to announce our new partnership with GeoLang. This is a truly innovative company that has a strong commitment to security within the Cloud and for those transitioning to cloud. It’s crucial that we continue to drive public confidence and best practice within the Cloud industry, particularly with regards to security, as this is high on the agenda for so many businesses. As our members are instrumental in the direction we take as an industry body, GeoLang comes as a welcome addition and I am confident we will continue to make great strides when it comes to creating a better Cloud for providers and end users.”
