RF Code has joined the Industrial Internet Consortium (IIC), a global not-for-profit organisation comprising 250+ member companies that have united to accelerate the Industrial Internet of Things (IIoT).
As a member of the IIC, RF Code will leverage its expertise in the application of wire-free sensor technology, real-time data collection, scalable management platforms and intelligent analytics across large-scale enterprise data centers and other industrial deployments, to contribute to the development of new business models, use-cases, reference architectures and joint solutions for IoT within the IIC charter. Additionally, RF Code’s proficiency in Real Time Location System (RTLS) solutions will be of unique benefit to the consortium, as the proliferation of related devices in commercial and industrial applications have played a major role in expanding the scope of the IoT. RTLS solutions have evolved over time into IIoT applications and have the proven ability to eliminate manual processes, reduce errors, increase efficiency, and eliminate waste across multiple industries, thereby providing impressive benefits for critical organisational assets.
Most recently, RF Code launched CenterScape in July of 2015 and CenterScape Cloud in early 2016; data centre IoT solutions that provide real-time insight, control and predictability over operational risks, costs and compliance in enterprise and colocation data centres. CenterScape’s real-time service optimisation and data analytics tools provide the intelligence required to accurately visualise and manage the Total Cost of Ownership (TCO) of data centres and distributed IT investments.
Founded in 2014, the IIC brings together corporate leaders, entrepreneurs, researchers and governments into one community to advance innovation and share best practices. Membership includes the world’s most progressive and innovative companies that have joined together to solve the challenges in IIoT: interoperability through an open framework architecture, security requirements, specifications for standards, and more.
