Emerson Network Power adds Knurr Miracel 2 Rack and completes PDU portfolio

New Knurr Miracel 2 rack is more resilient, offers more cable space and is fully configurable.

Emerson Network Power has introduced the Knurr® Miracel 2 rack in Europe, Middle East and Africa (EMEA). The Knurr Miracel 2 builds on all the distinctive features of the original model and has been designed to stay ahead of today’s growing customer needs and market requirements. Emerson Network Power also announced the completion of its power distribution unit (PDU) portfolio with the launch of the 19 inch version of the MPH2 managed rack PDU.

The new Knurr Miracel 2 is a modular, fully configurable server and network rack which allows more space for PDUs, built-in units and cables. The light yet robust aluminium-framed construction tolerates loads up to 800 kg and the easy access design enables quick servicing. Rapidly deployable, the Knurr Miracel 2 can be smoothly combined with Knurr DCM racks and SmartAisle containment to provide increased efficiencies for server applications.

The latest 19 inch version of the MPH2 managed rack PDU allows a horizontal installation within the rack for easier cable management and routing, and presents all the features of the MPH2 family including the hot swappable modular communications card for simplified maintenance and increased availability, the long-life switching technology and the ability to operate at temperatures up to 60 degrees Celsius. With this addition, Emerson Network Power has become the sole vendor offering industry-leading features across the whole range of managed rack PDUs.

“The Miracel has been a core product for almost 25 years and is now considered a benchmark within the data centre industry. With the Miracel 2, we have brought the Miracel DNA to the next step of evolution so as to address new market requirements.” said Dr Peter Koch, vice president of solutions for Emerson Network Power in EMEA. “Customers demand highly-reliable, space-saving and fully featured solutions which can be rapidly deployed and tailored to individual business needs, and we delivered.”
